I'm Pedro Duarte. I've been building software for about fifteen years, and today I work on the backend at NinjaOne.
What I care about most in engineering is the unglamorous part: software that is easy to change, that tells you what it is doing in production, and that a team can keep delivering on for years. Lately most of my attention goes to how AI is changing that work, and where it actually helps.
This site is where I write down what I learn, from work, from my own projects, and from digging into things I'm curious about.
How posts are written
Every post starts from something I worked through myself. I use AI tools to research a topic and to help with drafts, then I rewrite and check the result before publishing. If you find a mistake, I'd like to hear about it.
